Funding Opportunity for Malaysian NGOs Involved in Environmental Protection and the Fight Against Climate Change
The French government has a strong commitment towards environmental protection and the fight against climate change. Within this context, the Embassy of France to Malaysia is launching a call for Malaysian NGOs/associations or local branches of international NGOs working in the areas of: environmental conservation (marine, forest, etc.), biodiversity protection, wildlife conservation, pollution, sustainability, environmental justice, etc.
Presentation and scope of the call:
This call targets projects carried out by NGOs or associations based in Malaysia and working at a local scale.
Funding will be provided for one year. The possibility to extend it for an additional year will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Requested allocations shall not exceed 35 000 MYR; grants will be awarded after signature of an agreement with the Embassy.
Grant application and evaluation process:
Applicants must follow the instructions and calendar indicated in the call.
Applications will be assessed by an internal committee set up by the Embassy, based on their expected impact in terms of environmental protection.
Involvement of local communities, participation of young people and gender equality are highly encouraged.
Co-funding by Malaysian or international institutions is a plus.
