« France-Malaysia Innovation Day » in conjunction with « France Alumni Day » (15 May 2024, KL) [fr]
On May 15th, 2024, the Embassy of France to Malaysia, in collaboration with Campus France, French Tech Malaysia and the Malaysia-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be organizing the 1st edition of the « France-Malaysia Innovation Day » in conjunction with the 2nd edition of “France Alumni Day”.
Building-up on the success of the « France-Malaysia Convention on higher education, research and innovation », this dual event has a three-fold objective. It aims at: (1) highlighting the technological innovation being carried out by French companies which are present in Malaysia, (2) fostering the emergence of bilateral cooperation in research and higher education, and (3) provide Malaysian alumni having studied in France a unique opportunity to meet potential employers.

France-Malaysia Innovation Day (9:00am-1:30pm)
This flagship event will gather representatives from major French and Malaysian companies and academic institutions, as well as delegates from government structures. Confirmed participants include AIRBUS, THALES, SAFRAN, MDEC, NAICO – among others. The program will include individual talks and round-tables of topics of common interest such as “Technological innovation as a means to tackle global challenges” or “AI and innovation”; Ms. Tehmina Kaoosji will be the moderating the dialogue among stakeholders.
French Tech Malaysia will be hosting a special session “Success stories from emerging companies in Malaysia” and the participants will have the opportunity to exchange with several members of this network through a “Meet the French Tech” break.

France Alumni Day (3:00pm-6:00pm)
For this second edition of “France Alumni Day”, Campus France Malaysia has partnered with the Malaysia-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry to offer to all our Malaysian alumni a unique opportunity to meet French companies which are interested in recruiting young talents with profiles such as theirs.
The program of the afternoon (3:00pm-6:30pm) will include two parallel sessions:
- France Alumni Day Career Fair: representatives from a dozen French companies present in Malaysia will gather in a single room, making it easy for alumni to meet potential recruiters. Some of the confirmed exhibitors are: Schneider Electric, Mazars, Vibratec, Esker Document Automation (M) and sAir Liquide.
- Long story short / Parlons peu, parlons bien: a series of short presentations (<10 min) from the partners of the event (Campus France, MFCCI, AFKL and French Tech) and of flash presentations (3 min) from all the represented companies. The latter will include testimonies from alumni currently employed by them.

France Alumni Day networking cocktail (6:00pm-8:00pm)
At the end of the day, alumni, exhibitors and guests will have the opportunity to continue networking in a more informal setting during our Alumni Day Cocktail. A lucky draw will allow participating alumni to win some very special prizes likely to help them give their career a little push.
