But WorldSkills is not just a celebration of technical excellence; it is part of a global movement to promote vocational skills and training. It reflects the will to promote skills and demonstrate the crucial role they play in economic success and personal fulfilment.

For these young professionals aged under 23 (or under 26 for certain skills), this competition is a unique opportunity to showcase their savoir-faire on a world stage, thus contributing to the recognition of their skills. More than a simple competition, this event is truly a window into the skills of tomorrow, acting as a lever for innovation and a response to current economic challenges.

By hosting this major competition, France is announcing to the world that “Where there is a skill, there is a way", thus celebrating the combination of youth, expertise and excellence. It is a great opportunity to highlight French technical innovations and reassert our position as a leader in vocational training.

With a few weeks to go until the 19th Francophonie Summit and the Francotech Trade Fair, these Worldskills will promote France’s interest in educational and training initiatives aimed at developing Francophone talent in strategic sectors, with a focus on young people and gender equality.
