Position : Chief Cook
Vacancy : 1st October 2017
Fulltime, 38,5h/week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands
Service : Residence of the Ambassador of France
Supervision : Ambassador

The Chief Cook is in charge of the daily meals preparation, menus elaboration for official events, kitchen inventory and stock management. Also supervises the Assistant Cook.

Main tasks & missions :
1/ Premium quality culinary production :
- Designs, creates, produces meals for official receptions, lunches and diners
- Prepares Ambassador’s daily meals
- Controls the production quality and its conformity with safety and health standards

2/ Procurement and inventory management :
- Organises the kitchen’s storage layout
- Forecasts the supply needs and purchases the necessary ingredients
- Carries out the inventory

Required skills
- Culinary arts degree
- Significant working experience
- French traditional culinary knowledge and practice
- Food hygiene rules and security norms control
- Bilingual in English (French would be appreciated)
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to work fast, independently and within short deadlines, being punctual & reliable
