Le French Festival 2017 starts this week ! [fr]
Organised by the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur and the Embassy of France, Le French Festival is entering its 16th edition on the 4th of May. Until the 18th of June 2017, discover the best of French cinema, music, dance, architecture, science, tourism education and gastronomy in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and for the first time, in Kota Kinabalu!
Do not miss the first event : an exceptional Q&A with Gustave Kervern, a French actor, right after the free screening of The Fabulous Patars at GSC Pavilion at 9pn on Friday 5 May.
The 2017 edition presents a selection of 16 recent releases such as Monsieur Chocolat with Omar Sy, a biopic of the life of Jacques-Yves Cousteau in The Odyssey, an amazing story with A man and his cow…
The festival is bringing also to Malaysia renown artists such as the pianist Maxime Zecchini for an exceptional concert at the MPO, the UZUMAKI dance company who will perform a contemporary piece partly created with a Malaysian company, the Non Nova company for an unexpected show for kids and grown-ups and the singer and DJ Charles-Baptiste who will freshen up classical French songs by mixing them in his own way.
Furthermore, an exhibition about cinema and one on architecture in the presence of the architect Jacques Ferrier as well as cooking workshops, tasting sessions and a night dedicated to new technologies and VR will highlight different aspects of French creativity nowadays.
