Launching of the art exposition “Caring for Sarawak our Common Home”, on the path towards COP21

The Sarawak Artists Society invites you to the launching of their exhibition “Caring for Sarawak our Common Home”, on Friday 20 November at the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur.
This event dealing with an artistic reflection on COP21, will take place a few weeks before the beginning of Paris climate change conference 2015.

PNGWithin the framework of the COP 21, the United Nations Climate Change Conference that will take place in Paris from 30 November to 11 December, the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur is hosting different events linked with the climate change.
Artists from Sarawak, Borneo, will present their artworks and vision of Climate Change and how to respond by caring for their common home. Climate and Climate Disorders not only have an impact on their Natural Heritage but also on their Monuments.

-  Souls of Nature”, poetry reading by Angelina Bong
-  Welcome address by Mr. Petrus Alfred, President of Sarawak Artists Society and introduction of artists attending the event
-  Scene setting message by Mr Balu Perumal, Malaysian Nature Society,
-  Opening by Mr. Jean-Pierre Galland, Counsellor for Cooperation and cultural affairs, Embassy of France
-  Visit of the exhibition guided by the artists
