Kota Kinabalu - 8 European companies present at the 1st Symposium "The Green Agenda: Investment Opportunities in bio-based materials", 6, 7 and 8 sept 2015
Business France, as part of the project Support for European Business in South East Asia Malaysia Markets Component - SEBSEAM and as the leader of the sector "Energy and Environment", has organized a symposium on biomass. The event was organized in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Malaysia (EUMCCI) and the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (CHEP).
The event, dedicated to investment opportunities in the biomass sector, allowed 8 European companies (Mixel - France, Evonik -Germany, Beta Renewables -Italy, Waste4Fuel -Sweden, Symbiona -Poland, Prodesa -Spain, Easter -Holland, Global Green Synergy -EU), all specialized in biogas, biofuel, bio chemicals, bio-refineries and granulation to meet with local actors of the palm oil industry and public agencies of Sabah (Borneo).
Programs over the three days included general market analysis, a press conference, presentations of the European know-how and offer, business matching sessions and concluded with a visit to a palm oil factory. This event offered a good opportunity to European companies to better understand the market and to meet with the local players.
