French Embassy in Malaysia closed to the public [fr]

By decision of the Malaysian authorities, the French Embassy is not allowed to be open to the public. It will therefore be closed to the public from 18th March.

The Malaysian authorities have imposed restrictive measures between 18th March - 9th June 2020 to fight the outbreak of Covid-19. Pursuant to these measures, the Embassy of France in Malaysia will not be able to welcome visitors during this period. However, you can contact us via email or telephone.

1- Visa Service Closed

The Visa Service at the French Embassy will be closed from 17 March 2020 to 9 June 2020.

Moreoever, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the French authorities have suspended the issuance of visas until further notice.

Emergency situations will be treated by e-mail only at the following address : consulat.kuala-lumpur-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr

2- Embassy of France in Malaysia temporarily closed to the public

In accordance with Malaysian regulations, it is strictly forbidden to come to the French Embassy during this period.

The COVID-19 crisis centre of the Embassy remains available until the end of May 2020 via email at info-crise.kuala-lumpur-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr.
